The department of physics

   The Department of Physics is established in 2001, offering two research directions of Optics and Condensed State Physics. And  master's degree program of condensed matter physics has been set up. Teaching and administrative staff in the department are about 30 people, including 1 professors, 8 associate professors, 2 senior engineers and 3 senior laboratory technicians. The department provides the high quarlity of faculty and excellent experimental equipment.

   This major is  based on the concept of  "broad caliber, solid fundamental knowledge, inmprove the adaptability" . Based on the science of physics, electronics and computer science as subject basis. The main cultivation is between the basic theory research and engineering technology application, with a solid foundation of physics and strong application development ability of the application, research talent. Establishment of photoelectric technology and application as a professional direction.

General physics classes include Based optical , mechanical , thermal , electromagnetics , theoretical physics classes , quantum mechanics , solid state physics , dynamics , thermodynamics and statistical physics. The professional direction of classes include laser principle and application of optical fiber communication principle , the principle and application of sensor and information optics and nonlinear optics photoelectric detection technology , electronic information class curriculum , circuit analysis , analog electronic technology , digital electronic technology , microcomputer principle and interface technology , signal and system , digital signal processing , electronic course design , single-chip microcomputer technology , the computer language courses , advanced VB program design , software engineering , C language , computer networks , an introduction to MATLAB. The main course of practice include chemistry experiment , digital electronic technology experiment , general physics experiment , modern physics experiment , circuit experiment , experiment photoelectric technology , signal and system experimental sensor experiment , analog electronic technology experiment , the SCM experiment , microcomputer principle experiment , the cognition practice.

Professional teachers configuration: The specialized core curriculum is mainly borne by different teachers. Electronic information and computer classes by electrical college and believe in our school hospital, for sharing teaching resources.

Professional laboratory: The school has built an experimental building in Jiangning. The area of professional laboratory are 600 square meters. In the past 4 years, the school has accumulated 2 million 250 thousand yuan to the professional laboratory construction funds. The physics department has established the general physics laboratory, the modern physics laboratory, the photoelectric technology laboratory, the sensor laboratory and the single chip microcomputer laboratory.

Occupational Direction: Through the application of physics professional training, on the one hand we can grasp the basic theory and method of physics, has a good foundation for mathematics, foreign language level and experimental skills; on the other hand wo can get the Basic knowledge structure needed for engineering technology development and research (The computer technology and electronic information technology knowledge). So our students can adapt to the development of science and technology, has a strong ability to update the knowledge. The direction of employment is relatively wide. Our graduates can be engaged in scientific research, teaching, technology in the field of physics or related science and technology application and related management work, can also continue to pursue a wide range of disciplines of physics or equivalent graduate students. Each year the graduate admission rate of 30%.
